About The Different Types Of Powder Coating Materials?

There are several types of powder coating equipment used for coating metal. The most common types of equipment for the application of powder coating include electrostatic spray and fluidized bed. They are used to cover the part with the powder; creating a chip resistant finish is more durable than traditional paint. Other types of equipment include powder coating recovery systems, paint booths and curing ovens.

One of the oldest methods of applying powder fluid is bed dip process. The fluidized bed consists of a base container, the air supply plenum, and, or membrane, which allows air to pass, but not dry. Since the air is introduced under pressure, thermoplastic powder is suspended, or running. The piece is then immersed in the flow of heated dust. Some of the fluidized bed is also the ability to electrostatically charged dust, allowing the use of thermosetting polymers harder, instead of thermoplastic powders.

Of new and commonly used in various devices are powders coating electrostatic spray guns. There are three types of spray guns powder coating. All of them are based on fluidized bed or a container to keep the dust and the air supply to fluidize the powder, and submit it to the gun. The main difference between these three systems powder coating used for the application of the payment mechanism of thermosetting polymers.

The gun most widely used powder coating is corona gun. This type of weapon uses a power source to provide an electrostatic charge that the powder leaves the gun. Tribo guns with friction installation costs by accelerating the powder through a narrow passage to the exit of the gun and gun charging Bell simply pull the wool from the edge of an open bell-shaped.

Other types of powder coating equipment used breathing apparatus includes spray booths and recovery equipment. In a spray is a firm that is designed to keep the powder in an area under the coating process. A powder spray booths can be quite small to accommodate a single operator or large enough to hold a conveyor system to move large volumes of parts.

Many spray booths equipped with a recovery system. Usually found in the shell of the cabin, the recovery system uses a fan to draw fresh air into the spray and prevents overspray from escaping from the cabin. This piece of equipment dusting can help save money as well, because the fog collected can often be reused.

If the thermoset polymer is used, there is an additional step in the process. The covered part must be cured. This step requires a piece of equipment called a powder coating oven to cure. Ambient temperature rises high enough for dust to undergo chemical change called cross-linking. Curing ovens are available in the convection or infrared pictures.
